　　10月21日，市委外办主任曹赛先会见乌拉圭总统府秘书长阿尔瓦罗·德尔加多一行。

　　On October 21, Madam Cao Saixian, Director General of Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office met with H.E. Mr. Álvaro Delgado, Secretary of the Presidency of Uruguay and his delegation.

　　曹赛先主任对德尔加多秘书长一行访深表示热烈欢迎，并介绍了深圳经济社会发展情况。她说，华为、比亚迪等深圳科技龙头企业积极参与乌拉圭本地基础设施建设，推动乌拉圭数字化、低碳化转型升级。深圳与乌拉圭在新能源汽车、智慧城市、数字经济、海洋产业等领域合作空间广阔，希望双方共同推进各领域友好务实合作。

　　Director General Cao Saixian warmly welcomed Secretary Delgado and introduced the economic and social development in Shenzhen. She said that Shenzhen's tech giants such as Huawei and BYD actively participate in Uruguay's local infrastructure construction, promoting Uruguay's digital and low-carbon transformation and upgrading. Shenzhen and Uruguay have broad cooperation potentials in fields such as new energy vehicles, smart city, digital economy and marine industry. She hopes that both sides can jointly promote friendly and practical cooperation in various fields.

　　德尔加多秘书长表示，此次应邀出席第三届“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛是其本人首次访华。乌拉圭是拉美和加勒比地区第一个表态支持并愿意参与“一带一路”建设的国家。今年恰逢中乌建交35周年，希望藉此机会同中方共同商讨并努力推进签署自贸协定，实现经济领域的互联互通。同时，希望在“一带一路”等合作机制框架下，重点加强与深圳在5G通信、新能源汽车、展会经济等方面交流合作。

　　Secretary Delgado said that attending the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation gave him the opportunity to visit China for the first time. Uruguay is the first country in Latin America and the Caribbean to support and participate in the "Belt and Road" initiative. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Uruguay. He hopes to take this opportunity to work together with the Chinese counterpart to further discuss the potential free trade agreement and achieve connectivity in the economic field. Besides, Uruguay hopes to focus on strengthening exchanges and cooperation with Shenzhen in 5G telecommunications, new energy vehicles, M.I.C.E. and other aspects within the framework of the "Belt and Road" initiative and other cooperation mechanisms.
