深圳市人民对外友好协会2023年度会议召开

　　12月8日，深圳市人民对外友好协会2023年度会议在大鹏新区坝光国际生物谷召开。

　　Representatives from the member organizations of the Shenzhen People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries on Friday convened at the Shenzhen International Bio-valley Baguang Exhibition Hall in Dapeng New Area for the association’s annual meeting.

　　年会聚集了协会会员单位代表参会，为代表们提供了建立和加强个人联系的机会，同时代表们就加快国际交流与合作分享经验。

　　The gathering was an opportunity for representatives to forge and strengthen personal connections while exchanging ideas in accelerating international exchanges and cooperation.

　　"深圳是展示我国改革开放成就的一个重要窗口，也是国际社会观察我国改革开放的重要窗口。” 深圳市人民对外友好协会会长曹赛先说。“我们高站位地服务中国特色大国外交，为促进国际关系的发展铺路架桥。”

　　“As an important window for the world to comprehend China’s practical actions on reform and opening up, Shenzhen should take the responsibilities to actively engage in international exchanges and cooperation, paving the way for China's global relations,” Cao Saixian, president of the association, said.

　　在主旨演讲中，曹赛先会长全面总结了协会在2023年为促进国际交流与合作所做的努力。她重点介绍了协会在经济、贸易、主办会议和论坛、慈善活动、科技创新、文化、时尚、教育以及促进友好城市关系等各个领域做出的贡献。

　　During her keynote speech, Cao offered a comprehensive overview of the association’s endeavors in promoting international exchanges and cooperation throughout 2023. She highlighted the association’s contributions across various fields, including economics, trade, hosting meetings and forums, charitable initiatives, technological innovation, culture, fashion, education and fostering relationships with friendship cities.

　　曹赛先会长介绍了协会一项创新举措—举办首届“在深留学生菁英交流营”。通过交流营活动，这些优秀的在深留学生深入了解深圳和粤港澳大湾区，吸引他们毕业后留在深圳就业、创业。

　　Cao also introduced an innovative initiative—a specialized exchange camp aimed at providing overseas students with an in-depth understanding of Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with the broader aim of attracting them to establish roots in Shenzhen for their future development.

　　协会借助媒体的力量，与英文《深圳日报》合作，策划编译深圳的每月资讯。这份图文并茂的电子刊物会及时发送给国际友城外国驻华使领馆向他们展示深圳经济、社会发展的重要的资讯和重点项目的动态。

　　Leveraging the power of media, the association collaborated with Shenzhen Daily to produce a monthly newsletter. It details information regarding Shenzhen's economic, social development and updates on key projects, ensuring timely dissemination of important information to the friendship cities.

　　展望2024年，曹会长提出了协会的五点工作方向，积极打造多元立体的城市外交的新格局、用新渠道加强人脉工程的建设，促进民心相通、探索加强与友城政府和专业机构间的人员交流、做好中外青少年的交流，架起友谊的桥梁、鼓励支持社会组织走出去。

　　Looking forward to 2024, Cao outlined the association's five key objectives, namely encouraging more institutions and organizations to establish international communications with friendship cities, expanding multilevel international communication channels, fostering people-to-people exchanges, supporting international communication among teenagers and facilitating the global outreach of social organizations.

　　会上，大鹏新区综合办公室主任马文锋对与会代表的到来表示热烈欢迎，八位来自各行各业的代表就国际化与民间国际交流分享了各自的见解。

　　During the meeting, Ma Wenfeng, director of Dapeng’s general office, extended a warm welcome, and eight representatives from various sectors shared enlightening insights on internationalization and nongovernmental international exchanges.

　　会前，代表们参观了坝光银叶树湿地园，这里有世界上迄今为止发现的保存最完整、树龄最大的天然古银叶树群落。他们还参观了大鹏新区坝光国际生物谷，了解坝光的产业布局。

　　Before the meeting, representatives had the opportunity to visit the Baguang Looking-Glass Mangrove Wetland, an ancient tree cluster comprising the most well-preserved and oldest looking-glass mangroves. They also explored the exhibition hall to gain an understanding of Baguang’s industrial layout.

　　深圳市人民对外友好协会成立于1984年，现有会员单位130家，涵盖了深圳的政府部门、人民团体、社会团体、企业、媒体、医院、科研机构和学校。

　　Established in 1984, the Shenzhen People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries boasts 130 member organizations, encompassing government departments, people’s organizations, social groups, enterprises, hospitals, scientific research institutions, and schools within Shenzhen.
