　　2016年5月，深圳与巴布亚新几内亚首都莫尔斯比港签署备忘录，正式建立友好交流合作关系。5年来，深圳与莫尔斯比港在官方往来、人文交流以及经贸合作等领域取得了卓有实效的进展和成果，已成为中国同巴新以及太平洋岛国地区友好往来的生动例证。

　　In May 2016,Shenzhen and Port Moresby, National Capital District of Pupua New Guinea(PNG) signed an memorandum to establish friendship city relations. Since then, Shenzhen and Port Moresby have witnessed frequent senior level interactions, people-to-people exchanges and economic cooperation with abundant fruits yielded, serving as a vivid example of amicable relations of China and PNG and other pacific island countries.

2020年7月，国家主席习近平给布图卡学园复信

　　2018年11月，由深圳市向莫尔斯比港援建的中巴新友谊学校-布图卡学园正式启用。国家主席习近平出席学园的启用仪式并发表讲话。2020年7月，国家主席习近平对布图卡学园复信，肯定了学园的办学成绩，指出中方将继续为学园发展提供必要支持和帮助。

　　In November 2018, PNG and China Friendship School – Butuka Academy, funded and built by Shenzhen, official opened. President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony of the Academy and delivered a speech. In July 2020, President Xi Jinping wrote a letter in reply to Butuka Academy, affirmed the school’s performance and pointed out that China wouldcontinue to provide more support to the school’s development.

　　近年来，深圳市积极贯彻落实习近平主席对布图卡学园讲话精神，积极协助学园开展汉语教学，推动深圳学校与布图卡学园结好，向学园捐赠书包、足球等教学物资，提高学园教学教育质量，对学园校舍开展硬件保养修缮，全力支持学园可持续发展。

　　In recent years, Shenzhen hasearnestly carried forwardthe spirit of President Xi Jinping’s speech at the opening ceremony of the Academy and his letter in replyto the Academy to enhance educational cooperation between schools in Shenzhen and the Academy, including  establishing friendship-school relations. Shenzhen has donated batches of school uniforms, schoolbags, footballs and other teaching and sporting materials to the Academy, and regularly organized return visits and hardware maintenance to fully support the sustainable development of the Academy.

　　学园成立3年以来，共招收学生5000余名，获得巴新社会各界广泛好评。同时，深圳与巴新两地的经贸投资合作也为当地提高就业，改善人民生活，促进当地经济社会发展做出了有益贡献。

　　Since its unveiling 3 years ago, the Academy has enrolledmore than 5000 students, and has won unanimous praise from the Papua New Guinea government and people. Meanwhile, economic cooperation between Shenzhen and PNG has greatly improved the local living standards and advanced PNG’s economic development.

　　为庆祝深圳与莫尔斯比港结好5周年，深圳市委外办与莫尔斯比港政府外事部门共同合作，根据两市交往重要事件以及布图卡学园的发展历程等内容制作了纪念视频，我国驻巴新使馆曾凡华大使、巴新首都行政区长官帕克普以及深圳市委外办主任曹赛先专门录制了祝福视频，回顾并高度评价深圳与巴新交流成果，寄语深圳与莫尔斯比港两地在未来进一步续写深情，共享发展，为中国同包括巴新在内的太平洋岛国共建人类命运共同体做出应有的贡献。

　　In order to celebrate the 5^thanniversary of the establishment of the friendship relations between Shenzhen and Port Moresby, Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office and partners in Port Moresby worked together to release this video highlighting important moments during the past 5 years, with interviews and wishes from His Excellency Mr. Zeng Fanhua, Chinese Ambassador to PNG, His Honorable Mr. Powes Parkop, Governor of Port Moresby National Capital District and Ms. CAO Saixian, Director General of Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office. This video, titled “Shared Development and Stronger “Shen” Ties”, is dedicated to building a community of shared future between China, PNG and pacific island countries.
