曹赛先主任会见英属维尔京群岛香港办事处董事卫理 Director General Cao Saixian Meets with Director of BVI HK Office

　　8月4日，曹赛先主任会见到访的英属维尔京群岛（British Virgin Islands, 以下简称BVI）政府香港办事处董事及亚太事务代表理嘉图·卫理（Ricardo Wheatley）一行。

　　On August 4, Director General Cao Saixian met with Dr. Ricardo Wheatley, the British Virgin Islands’ Asia-Pacific Representative and Director of the BVI’s Representative Office in Hong Kong.

　　曹赛先主任对卫理一行表示欢迎，介绍了深圳最新经济社会发展情况，回顾了近年来深圳与BVI友好交往情况。她表示，两地未来可在金融、绿色新能源、旅游及城市垃圾处理等方面开展合作。欢迎BVI政商代表团访深考察，也欢迎BVI留学生前来深圳学习，共享粤港澳大湾区合作机遇。

　　Director General Cao Saixian welcomed Dr. Wheatley and his delegation, introduced the latest economic and social development of Shenzhen, and reviewed the friendly exchanges between Shenzhen and BVI in recent years. She said the two sides should cooperate in the future in finance, green and new energy, tourism and urban waste treatment. BVI political and business delegations are welcome to visit Shenzhen, and BVI students are also welcome to come to Shenzhen to study and share the opportunities of cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

　　卫理表示，英属维尔京群岛政府香港办事处致力于加强BVI与亚洲政府部门和金融业界关系，未来将重点关注与亚洲在可持续发展和教育领域合作。此系疫情后BVI香港办事处第一次访问深圳，期待双方加强在金融科技、教育和可持续发展等领域合作。

　　Dr. Wheatley said that the Hong Kong Office of the British Virgin Islands Government is committed to strengthening BVI's relationship with Asian government departments and the financial industry, and will focus on sustainable development and education in the future. This was the first time that the BVI Hong Kong Office paid a courtesy call to Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office after the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Wheatley hoped that both sides continue to strengthen cooperation in the fields of fin-tech, education and sustainable development.
