市委外办与深圳北理莫斯科大学、莫斯科大学和梅尔尼琴科基金会一行座谈

  2月28日,市人民对外友好协会专职副会长顾挺会见来访的深圳北理莫斯科大学校党委书记兼副校长朱迪俭、莫斯科大学副校长古谢夫和梅尔尼琴科基金会选拔类项目总监格林克维奇一行。

  On Feburary 28, Mr. Gu Ting, Vice Executive President of Shenzhen People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, met with Mr. Zhu Dijian, Party Secretary and Vice Rector of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University (SMBU), Mr. Gusev, Vice Rector of Moscow State University (MSU) and Mrs. Grinkevich from Andrey Melnichenko Foundation.

  朱迪俭书记首先向顾挺副会长介绍了俄方各位代表,并表示深北莫计划今年4月下旬在深举办2024年国际门捷列夫中学生化学奥林匹克竞赛,希望市委外办能从外事层面对竞赛的筹备工作给予必要支持和帮助。朱书记还分别请莫斯科大学和梅尔尼琴科基金会的与会代表介绍了竞赛筹备的相关情况。莫斯科大学副校长古谢夫表示门捷列夫化学竞赛是国际著名的三大化学竞赛之一,在国际上具有很高的知名度和权威性,此次竞赛由莫大和深北莫联合举办,计划邀请来自三十个国家的两百多名中学参加比赛。梅尔尼琴科基金会选拔类项目总监格林克维奇表示,该基金会自2018年起资助该竞赛,旨在激发青少年对化学学科的兴趣和热情,为培养未来的科学家奠定基础,同时促进各国间化学领域的学术交流。

  Zhu introduced the representatives from the Russian side, and said that SMBU plans to hold the 2024 Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad in Shenzhen in late April this year. He hoped that Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office could provide necessary assistance in the preparation of the event. Zhu also invited Gusev and Grinkevich to brief upon the Olympiad. Gusev pointed out that the Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad is one of the three internationally renowned chemistry competitions and this year’s event in Shenzhen will be jointly organized by MSU and SMBU. More than 200 high school students from 30 countries will participate. Grinkevich said that the Foundation has been funding the Olympiad since 2018, aiming to help students develop enthusiasm for chemistry and nurture future scientists. She believed the event would promote international academic exchanges in chemistry.

  顾挺副会长对客人一行到访表示欢迎并对在深举办此次竞赛表示赞赏。他指出,俄罗斯在基础科学领域的发展成果令人瞩目,举办此次竞赛将促进深圳和俄罗斯在基础科学领域的交流与合作,市委外办将结合自身职责给予积极支持,期待赛事顺利举办。顾挺副会长还提到,近年来我市与莫斯科不断加强友好交流,莫斯科创新集群去年正式加入世界创新城市合作组织(筹),莫斯科市政府代表团即将访深,期待两市持续深化交流合作。

  Gu Ting welcomed the delegation and appreciated the decision to hold the Olympiad in Shenzhen. He pointed out that Russia's achievements in basic sciences have always been remarkable. Such an event will promote exchanges and cooperation between Shenzhen and Russia in relevant fields. Gu said that Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office would provide necessary assistance. He also mentioned that Shenzhen has been strengthening friendly exchanges with Moscow. For example, the Moscow Innovation Cluster joined the World Innovative City Cooperation Organization (WICCO) last year, and the Moscow municipal government delegation is about to visit Shenzhen next month. Gu looked forward to seeing the two cities deepen exchanges and cooperation in the future.
