市委外办曹赛先主任与新西兰驻广州总领事沈立举行工作座谈

　　12月16日下午，市委外办曹赛先主任与到访的新西兰驻广州总领事沈立举行工作座谈，探讨深圳与新西兰在候鸟栖息地保护方面的合作潜能。市规划和自然资源局副局长孔繁昌、广东内伶仃福田国家级自然保护区管理局局长邓子兵参加座谈。

　　In the afternoon of December 16, Director General Cao Saixian met with Ms. Rebekah Mawson, Consul General of New Zealand in Guangzhou to discuss potential cooperation on habitat protection of migratory birds. Mr. Kong Fanchang, Deputy Director General of Shenzhen Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, and Mr. Deng Zibin, Director General of Guangdong-Neilinding-Futian Mangrove Reserve Administration attended the meeting.

　　曹赛先主任在会谈中介绍了深圳在生态保护领域的工作和成就，希望与总领事一道，在明年中国和新西兰建交50周年之际，共同举办一些有意义的活动，推动深圳与新西兰在候鸟保护领域的交流合作，加深两地民众对候鸟栖息地的了解和认识，增进双方的友谊。孔繁昌局长和红树林保护区专家介绍了福田红树林保护区候鸟栖息地的管理情况和经验做法，希望与新西兰的专家学者加强交流，挖掘合作机遇。

　　Director General Cao introduced Shenzhen's work and achievements in ecological protection. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and New Zealand next year, she hoped that Shenzhen and New Zealand could co-organize meaningful activities to promote exchanges and cooperation on habitat protection of migratory birds, to enhance mutual understanding, and to deepen friendship between the two peoples. Director Kong and experts from the Mangrove Reserve introduced the experience of management and protection of migratory birds’ habitat, expressed hopes for more exchanges with New Zealand counterparts and more cooperation opportunities.

　　沈立总领事表示深圳在生态保护方面成绩显著，与新西兰在绿色环保、湿地保护、候鸟保护等领域有相似的愿景和规划，期待两地在上述领域共同开展交流合作项目。

　　Consul General Mawson highly recognized Shenzhen’s work and achievements in ecological protection. She pointed out that Shenzhen shared similar vision and planning with New Zealand in the fields of environmental protection, wetland protection and migratory bird protection. She expected to see exchanges and cooperation projects in the above-mentioned fields.

　　工作座谈结束后，与会方共同参观了福田红树林保护区。

小知识：

　　福田红树林保护区是我国唯一位于城市腹地、面积最小的国家级自然保护区，与拉姆萨尔国际重要湿地——香港米埔自然保护区一水相隔，两者共同组成了后海湾红树林湿地生态系统，是东亚-澳大利西亚国际候鸟迁徙路线的越冬地、中转站和加油站，每年数万只水鸟在此栖息、越冬。

　　Futian Mangrove Reserve is the smallest and only national nature reserve located in the heartland of a city in China, and is justseparated by Mai Po Nature Reserve in Hong Kong, one of Ramsauer Wetland of International Importance by a bay.  Together, the reserves form the mangrove wetland ecosystem of Houhai Bay, which is the wintering place, transit station of the  East Asian-Australasian Flyway migratory bird route. Every year, tens of thousands of waterfowl transit and spend winter there.
