市委外办主任曹赛先会见联合国副秘书长兼联合国亚太经社会执行秘书阿里沙赫巴纳

　　4月15日，市委外办主任曹赛先会见了联合国副秘书长兼联合国亚太经社会执行秘书阿里沙赫巴纳一行。

　　On April 15, Director General Cao Saixian of Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office met with Executive Secretary Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), who’s also the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations.

　　曹赛先对阿里沙赫巴纳执秘率领的联合国亚太经社会各位同事到访深圳表示欢迎。她热情介绍了深圳最新经济社会发展情况，用“年轻、创新、绿色、开放、改革”五个关键词总结深圳发展的特点。她表示，深圳愿意与联合国亚太经社会携手开展经验与案例分享互鉴以推动联合国可持续发展目标实现，并希望联合国亚太经社会及其国际组织合作伙伴积极考虑在深设立相关机构。

　　Director General Cao expressed her warm welcome to Executive Secretary Alisjahbana and her colleagues from the ESCAP on their visit to Shenzhen. She briefed them on Shenzhen’s latest socioeconomic developments, and encapsulated the features of the city’s development with five key words, namely “youth, innovation, greenery, openness and reform”. She expressed that Shenzhen stands ready to share with the ESCAP its development experiences and best practices in a bid to deliver the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  It is hoped, she added, that the ESCAP and its international organization partners will consider actively setting up relevant institutions in Shenzhen.

　　阿里沙赫巴纳执秘表示，联合国亚太经社会十分重视与中国的合作，特别是在能源、气候变化与绿色发展等方面。可持续城市化是十七个联合国可持续发展目标之一，曹赛先主任分享的深圳五个方面的发展特点对亚太地区来说是一个非常好的实践案例，希望邀请深圳以合适的方式参与联合国亚太经社会年会，分享深圳在推进创新、数字化转型、吸引人才以及可持续发展方面的经验与举措。

　　Executive Secretary Alisjahbana said that the ESCAP attaches great importance to cooperation with China, especially in areas such as energy, climate change and green development. Sustainable urbanization is one of the seventeen United Nations’ SDGs. The five pillars of development features of Shenzhen shared by Director General Cao constitute a very good practice for the Asia-Pacific region. She invited Shenzhen to participate in the next ESCAP annual meeting in an appropriate manner, to share Shenzhen’s experience and measures in promoting innovation, digital transformation, attracting talent, as well as sustainable development.
