　　8月7日，市委外办主任曹赛先会见卡塔尔驻广州总领事阿卜杜拉·哈吉里一行。

　　On August 7, Cao Saixian, Director General of Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office met with Abdulla Al‑Hajri, Consul General of the State of Qatar in Guangzhou and his delegation.

　　曹赛先对阿卜杜拉到访深圳表示欢迎，祝贺阿卜杜拉履新，介绍了深圳经济社会发展最新情况。她表示，近年来两地来往密切，互访频繁。今年APEC会议将在深圳举办，深圳将抢抓并用好这一重大机遇，进一步扩大国际合作。希望与总领事共同推动双方在经贸投资、金融、文化旅游等领域合作，并与卡塔尔相关城市建立友好交流城市关系，促进民心相通。

　　Director General Cao Saixian welcomed the Consul General on his visit to Shenzhen, congratulated him on his new role, and briefed the group on the latest socioeconomic developments of the city. She noted that in recent years, Shenzhen and Qatar have maintained close exchanges and frequent mutual visits. This year, the APEC meetings will be held in Shenzhen. The city will seize and leverage this major opportunity to further international cooperation. She expressed the hope to work with the Consul General to promote cooperation between the two sides in economy, trade, investment, finance, culture and tourism, and to establish friendship-city relations with relevant cities in Qatar, so as to enhance people-to-people bonds.

　　阿卜杜拉感谢曹赛先的热情接待。他表示，这是他首次正式访问深圳，对深圳发展深表钦佩。卡塔尔与深圳合作有着良好的基础，他将推动更多的卡塔尔旅游和投资机构来深探讨合作，愿积极推进卡塔尔城市与深圳建立友好交流城市关系，并在举办大型活动方面交流经验和做法。

　　Consul General Abdulla Al‑Hajri thanked Director General Cao Saixian for her warm reception. He noted that this is his first official visit to Shenzhen, and expressed his deep admiration for the city’s development. He stated that Qatar and Shenzhen enjoy a solid foundation for cooperation, and he will encourage more Qatari tourism and investment institutions to visit Shenzhen for cooperation. He also expressed his readiness to facilitate the establishment of friendship-city relations between Qatari cities and Shenzhen, and to share experiences and practices in hosting major events.
