市委外办主任曹赛先与加拿大驻广州总领事贝加德一行座谈 Director General Cao Saixian Meets with Canadian Consul General in Guangzhou Behzad Babakhani

　　9月26日，市委外办主任曹赛先与到访的加拿大驻广州总领事贝加德（Behzad Babakhani）一行座谈。

　　On September 26, Director General Cao Saixian of Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office met with Behzad Babakhani, Canadian Consul General in Guangzhou.

　　曹赛先主任对贝加德总领事一行表示欢迎，并介绍了深圳经济社会发展情况。她说，深圳目前正围绕高质量发展这个首要任务和构建新发展格局这个战略任务，加快打造更具有全球影响力的经济中心城市和现代化国际化大都市。深圳与加拿大多伦多、蒙特利尔以及圣约翰三个城市建立友好合作城市关系，两地合作基础良好，合作前景广阔。希望在贝加德总领事的支持下，与加拿大城市间开展更丰富的交流，在经贸、教育、人文、海洋以及民生等领域开展更深入的合作，不断增进两地人民之间的了解与友谊。

　　Director General Cao Saixian welcomed Consul General Behzad Babakhani, and introduced the latest economic and social development of Shenzhen. She said, Shenzhen is currently focusing on the primary task of high-quality development and the strategic task of building a new development paradigm, aiming to accelerate the building of a more globally influential economic center and a modern international metropolis. She also said that Shenzhen maintains friendship city ties with the city of Toronto, Montreal and Saint John, all with solid cooperation foundation. Director General Cao hopes that with the help from Consul General Behzad, cooperation in trade, education, culture, marine research & economy and the people's livelihood can be promoted and understandings and friendship furthered.

　　贝加德总领事感谢曹赛先主任的接待，指出此次是其上任广州总领事后首访深圳，充分感受到深圳取得的巨大发展成就。希望两地能够进一步深化友城关系，拓展各领域务实合作，实现互利共赢发展。

　　Consul General Behzad Babakhani thanked Director General Cao for her hospitality and pointed out this trip is his first visit to Shenzhen. Mr Babakhani is very impressed by the city’s fast development, and he hopes to collaborate with Shenzhen government to deepen the friendship relations and achieve mutually beneficial development.
