曹赛先主任会见美国驻广州总领事高葆玲

　　8月27日，曹赛先主任会见到访的美国驻广州总领事高葆玲一行。此访是高女士今年7月履新美国驻广州总领事后首次访深。

　　On August 27, Director General Cao Saixian met with Ms. Pauline Kao, Consul General of the United States of America in Guangzhou.This is Ms. Kao's first visit to Shenzhen since she took office as U.S. Consul General in July this year.

　　曹赛先主任对高葆玲总领事访深表示欢迎。她用“年轻”、“创新”、“以人为本”、“开放”、“绿色”等几个关键词介绍了深圳最新经济社会发展情况。她表示，深圳在美国拥有最多数量的友好城市及友好交流城市，期待与美国在友城交往、经贸合作、人员往来、绿色低碳等方面加强交流、深化合作，并希望高总领事给予大力支持。

　　Director General Cao welcomed the delegation to Shenzhen, and gave a brief introduction on the latest economic and social development of the city with several key words such as "young", "innovative", "people-oriented", "open" and "green". She said that Shenzhen has the most sister cities and friendship cities in the United States, and looked forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation with the United States in the areas of sister-city exchanges, economic and trade cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, and green and low-carbon development, and hoped that Consul General Kao will provide strong support.

　　高葆玲总领事感谢曹主任的热情接待。她表示，很欣赏深圳的活力和创新等特质，重视加强美国与深圳的交流合作。她对曹主任的建议作出积极回应，希望以庆祝深圳与休斯敦结好40周年等活动为契机，进一步推动深圳与美国在各领域务实合作。

　　Consul General Kao thanked Director General Cao for her warm hospitality. She spoke highly of the vitality and innovation of Shenzhen, and attached great importance to strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the United States and Shenzhen. She made a positive response to Director General Cao’s proposals, and hoped to take the 40-year anniversary of Shenzhen-Houston sister-city relations as an opportunity to further promote practical cooperation between Shenzhen and the United States in various fields.
