市委外办主任曹赛先会见加拿大驻广州总领事雷玉琪

　　近日，市委外办主任曹赛先会见加拿大驻广州总领事雷玉琪（Marie-Andrée Lévesque）一行。

　　Ms. Cao Saixian, Director General of Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office, met with a delegation led by Ms. Marie-Andrée Lévesque, Consul General of Canada in Guangzhou.

　　曹赛先祝贺雷玉琪总领事履新，对雷玉琪一行到访表示欢迎，并简要介绍了深圳最新经济社会发展情况。她指出，今年十一月亚太经合组织（APEC）第三十三次领导人非正式会议将在深圳举办，这是深圳深化与加拿大全方位、多层次合作的重大契机。依托深厚的友城合作基础，深圳将抢抓本次盛会机遇，在中加经贸互通、教育共育、文化互鉴、文旅互联、体育互动中发挥更重要的枢纽联结作用。希望总领事充分发挥驻穗领馆桥梁优势和区域影响力，持续推动两地经贸双向投资，丰富深圳与加拿大友好合作内涵，推动各领域交流常态化、机制化、实效化。

　　Ms. Cao congratulated Consul General Lévesque on assuming her new post and welcomed the delegation. She briefed the guests on Shenzhen’s latest socioeconomic development. She noted that the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting will be held in Shenzhen this November, which presents a major opportunity for Shenzhen to deepen all-round and multi-level cooperation with Canada. Building on the solid foundation of friendship-city cooperation, Shenzhen will seize the opportunity presented by this grand event to play a more pivotal connecting role in China-Canada interactions in trade and economic connectivity, educational collaboration, cultural mutual learning, tourism linkages and sports exchanges. She expressed the hope that the Consul General will give full play to the bridging role and regional influence of the Consulate General in Guangzhou, continue to advance two-way investment in trade and economy between the two sides, enrich the substance of friendly cooperation between Shenzhen and Canada, and promote regular, institutionalized and result-oriented exchanges in various fields.

　　雷玉琪对深圳经济社会高质量发展成就、国际化城市建设水平和对外开放活力给予高度评价。她表示，加拿大与深圳渊源深厚、交往密切，长期在经贸、人文、文旅等领域保持良好合作态势。其团队希望以2026年APEC会议在深举办为契机，畅通两地企业经贸对接渠道，全方位夯实两地民间友好根基。

　　Ms. Lévesque spoke highly of Shenzhen’s achievements in high-quality economic and social development, its progress in building an internationalized city, and the dynamism of its opening-up. She noted that Canada and Shenzhen enjoy deep-rooted ties and close exchanges, and have long maintained sound cooperation in trade, economy, culture and tourism. Her team hopes to take the holding of the 2026 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Shenzhen as an opportunity to facilitate business-to-business engagement between enterprises of both sides and consolidate the people-to-people foundation of bilateral friendship in an all-round manner.
