泰国驻华大使来访深圳市委外办

　　11月12日下午，市政府外办副主任、二级巡视员孙怀忠与来访的泰国驻华大使韩灿才（Chatchai Viriyavejakul）一行开展了工作座谈。

　　On the afternoon of November 12, Deputy Director General Sun Huaizhong met with the visiting delegation led by H.E. Chatchai Viriyavejakul, the Ambassador of Thailand to China.

　　孙怀忠对韩灿才大使一行访问深圳表示欢迎，并简要了深圳最新经济社会发展情况。他谈到，深圳与泰国地缘相近，人缘相通，优势互补。近年来，粤港澳大湾区与泰国“东部经济走廊”协同发展，随着高质量共建“一带一路”不断推进，中泰全面战略合作持续走深走实。明年是中泰建交50周年、深圳与曼谷结好10周年，大使先生此次来访将促进深圳与泰国的友好往来，进一步加强两地在科技创新、社会治理、智慧城市、高等教育、文化旅游、人员往来等各领域的务实合作。

　　Deputy Director General Sun welcomed the delegation and briefed the group on the latest socioeconomic developments of Shenzhen. He said, Shenzhen and Thailand enjoy geographical proximity, cultural affinity and complementary advantages. In recent years, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Thailand’s “Eastern Economic Corridor” (EEC) have been developing in tandem. With deepening high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, China-Thailand comprehensive strategic cooperation continue to go deeper and more substantive. The coming year marks the 50^th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between China and Thailand and the 10^th anniversary of the friendship city relations between Shenzhen and Bangkok. The visit of Ambassador Chatchai will promote the friendly exchanges between Shenzhen and Thailand, and further the practical cooperation between the two sides in such areas as sci-tech innovation, social governance, smart city, higher education, culture and tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

　　韩灿才大使谈到，“一带一路”倡议和“泰国4.0战略”协同发展，粤港澳大湾区与“东部经济走廊”优势互补，双方交流空间广阔，合作意愿强烈、潜力巨大。他希望与深圳进一步加强在特区建设经验分享、经贸、科技创新、文化、体育、青年等领域合作，推动更多企业交流、共享发展机遇。

　　Ambassador Chatchai noted, the “Belt and Road” initiative has formed synergy with “Thailand 4.0 Strategy”, while the GBA and EEC complement each other’s advantages. Thailand and Shenzhen enjoy broader space for exchanges and stronger readiness and potential for cooperation. He hoped that the two sides further enhance the cooperation in the fields of experience sharing of Shenzhen’s development, trade and investment, culture, sports and tourism, and drive the exchanges among enterprises for shared development opportunities.
