市委外办主任曹赛先会见韩国驻广州总领事姜相旭

　　1月27日，市委外办主任曹赛先会见来访的韩国驻广州总领事姜相旭（Kang Sangwook）。

　　On January 27, Director General Cao Saixian of Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office met with a visiting delegation led by Mr. Kang Sangwook, Consul General of ROK in Guangzhou.

　　曹赛先主任向姜相旭总领事介绍了即将在我市举办的APEC第三十三次领导人非正式会议筹备情况，表示我市将通过举办APEC会议推动国际化发展，提升城市综合管理水平。韩国曾举办过APEC会议，希望双方在此方面多交流。曹赛先主任还向姜相旭总领事介绍了我市与韩国交流合作情况。我市与韩国经贸合作密切，有近3000家韩国企业，三星电子、LG、SK等知名企业在我市均有布局。我市与光阳市、釜山市和仁川市互为友好城市，多年来开展了卓有成效的经贸合作和人文交流。希望在此基础上，进一步加深与韩国各城市的友好合作。

　　Director General Cao briefed Consul General Kang on the preparations of the 33rd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting, scheduled to be held in Shenzhen. She added that by hosting the meeting, the city would further its global engagement and integrated urban management. Noting that South Korea has hosted APEC in the past, she expressed the hope that the two sides would enhance exchanges in this regard. Director General Cao further outlined the exchanges and cooperation between the city and South Korea. The two sides have maintained close economic and trade ties, with nearly 3,000 Korean enterprises operating in Shenzhen, notably including Samsung Electronics, LG and SK. To date, Shenzhen has established sister-city or friendship-city relations with Kwangyang, Busan and Incheon in South Korea, seeing substantial trade cooperation and vibrant people-to-people exchanges over the years. Built upon on this, Shenzhen looks to expand friendly cooperation with more Korean cities.

　　姜相旭总领事表示，深圳经贸实力强，国际影响力大，坚信深圳将成功举办APEC会议。并希望通过此次盛会，推动韩国经贸等各领域与我市的深入合作。

　　Consul General Kang noted that Shenzhen is an economic and trade powerhouse with significant global influence. He expressed confidence that Shenzhen would host a successful APEC meeting, adding that he hoped to take advantage of this grand occasion to foster deeper cooperation between Shenzhen and South Korea, not only in economy and trade, but across the board.
