7月28日,市委外办主任曹赛先会见肯尼亚首任驻广州总领事詹姆斯・穆哈蒂・布耶卡内(Amb. James Muhati Buyekane)一行。
On July 28, Ms. Cao Saixian, Director General of Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office, met with Amb. James Muhati Buyekane, the first Consul General of Kenya in Guangzhou and his colleagues.

曹赛先对布耶卡内首次到访深圳表示欢迎,祝贺总领事履新,并介绍了深圳经济社会发展最新情况。她表示,深圳在外贸进出口、科技创新、产业升级、绿色发展、民生保障等领域均取得可喜成绩。今年,APEC第三十三次领导人非正式会议将在深圳举办,深圳将抢抓并用好这一重大机遇,进一步扩大国际合作、加快国际化城市建设,不断提升开放型经济水平。肯尼亚于去年8月在广州新设领事机构,为深化肯尼亚与中国华南地区互联互通搭建了关键官方平台。深圳市外办将与总领馆保持紧密协作,共同推动两地在城市交往、经济贸易、新兴产业、文化旅游等领域的友好交流与务实合作,增进双方人民的相互了解和友谊,为共建新时代中肯命运共同体作出积极贡献。
Director General Cao extended a warm welcome to Consul General Buyekane on his first visit to Shenzhen and congratulated him on assuming his new post. She briefed the delegation on the latest economic and social developments of Shenzhen. She noted that Shenzhen has achieved remarkable results in multiple areas such as foreign trade, scientific and technological innovation, industrial upgrading, green development and people's wellbeing. The 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting will be held in Shenzhen this year. Seizing this major opportunity, Shenzhen will further expand international cooperation, accelerate the development of an international metropolis, and continuously upgrade its open economy. Kenya opened its Consulate General in Guangzhou last August, establishing a vital official platform to deepen connectivity between Kenya and South China. Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office will maintain close coordination with the Consulate General to jointly advance friendly exchanges and pragmatic cooperation in city-to-city relations, economy and trade, emerging industries, culture and tourism, as well as enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, in an effort to contribute to building a China-Kenya community with a shared future for the new era.

布耶卡内对曹赛先的热情接待表示感谢,他充分肯定深圳的城市发展与科创实力,高度认可两地存在广阔的合作空间,希望积极推动双方在经贸、科技、农业、教育、旅游、人文等多领域的交流合作,欢迎更多的深圳企业赴肯投资兴业,携手实现互利共赢发展。
Consul General Buyekane expressed thanks to Director General Cao for her hospitality. He spoke highly of Shenzhen's urban development and strengths in scientific and technological innovation, and recognized the broad prospects for bilateral cooperation. He hopes to advance exchanges and collaboration between the two sides across diverse sectors including economy and trade, science and technology, agriculture, education, tourism and people-to-people exchanges. He invites more Shenzhen enterprises to invest and start businesses in Kenya for mutually beneficial development.
